Artisan offers a wide range of Log and Timber products. From compete wood packages to architectural highlights, Artisan has access to some of the highest quality timber in the world and can build to suit any size project.

Our product line includes:

Full Scibe Log Homes (Scandinavian scribe fit)

Considered the “classic log home”. This timeless style has come a long way, from small dark cabins at the turn of the century to large, open, bright structures designed to compliment the surrounding environment. The large timbers we use in full scribe log homes offer amazing energy efficient thermal characteristics while the physical mass can whist stand anything mother nature can throw at it. All our homes are fully gasketed and overscribed to ensure a tight, weather proof fit for years to come.

Post and Beam Log Homes

Our popular Post and Beam log homes are a great, cost effective alternative to full scribe log homes. The design can be more flexible, and incorporate many different types of building materials. While maintaining the log home charm, P and B homes can incorporate pre-framed wood walls, cinderblock walls and even straw bails between all the custom log work. Post and Beam buildings utilize fewer logs and therefore will cost less to transport and re-assemble.

Timber Frame

Timber Framing stems from a long rich history that began in Europe and now exists all around the world today. Artisan works closely with engineers and designers that allow us to push the boundaries with complex joinery and hidden fastening systems. Timber frame structures can be build in a couple different ways. One, the timber structure itself can be built as an interior structural skeleton that is then wrapped by exterior walls made of wood, stone or straw bales. This method will only show case the timber work from the inside of the house, but will allow for thicker, better insulated exterior walls. The other Timber Frame construction method is to build the structure so the timbers are visible from the inside and the outside, this method will have all the exterior walls built between the timbers. Our pre cut Timber Frame buildings pack very efficiently into shipping containers, saving our customers time and money.

Log and Timber Highlights

Large wood highlights can add a sense of comfort, style and presence to any building. Artisan can incorporate round logs or square timbers into most building designs while conforming to local building codes and engineering standards. Log and Timber highlights are a very cost effective way to add huge value to any project.
